The boys track team improved their record to 5-1 with a 76-61 win over Jonesville. The boys swept the Long Jump, with CJ Glaspie, Lance Knoch and Greg Kettwich going 1-2-3. The also swept the discus with Bryce Black, Aaron Radecki and Brayden Angianga doing the honors. Angianga was 2nd in the shot put. Knoch won the high jump. Dylan Holt was third in the Pole Vault. Clayton Hinkle was 3rd in the high and intermediate hurdles. Vincent Giuliano won the 100 and 200 dashes and Josh Sharp was right behind Guiliano in 2nd . Bryan Smith won the 400. TJ Kessman was 2nd in the 800 and 3rd in the 1600. James Silbernagel was 3rd in the 3200. The Jackets swept the relays. The 3200 relay team was composed of Smith, Silbernagel, Jack Freeman and Kessman. The 800 relay: Sharp, Smith, Zeavion Jones and Guiliano. The 400 relay team of Guiliano, Sharp, Jones and Knoch. The 1600 relay of Jones, Freeman, Kessman and Smith. The track team returns to action Saturday at the Purdy Invitational.
Jr. Jacket Volleyball Camp will be held on June 11-13 at Concord HS for Grades 3-6th from 6-8 pm. The cost is $25, which includes a t-shirt.

CHS softball team collected 2 more victories last night over the visiting Spartans from Springport. CarolAnn Brigham secured the win from the pitching circle striking out four. Several CHS athletes collected multiple hits.
In the second game eight innings were needed to achieve victory, 17-16. In this game the lady jackets amassed 16 hits and again several ladies collected multiple hits. Brigham again took the win in the circle collecting 11 strike outs in the win.
Concord JV baseball split with Springport tonight. Lost game 1 7-4, and won game 2 8-7.
The Concord School-Linked Health Center will be conducting sports physicals during the school day on Wednesday, May 16th from Noon until 5:00 pm at Concord High School. The cost of the physicals is $30 and parents MUST fill out the physical form ahead of time. Student will need to sign-up in the office or at lunch beginning on Monday, May 14th.
Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to Concord School-Linked Health Clinic), or credit card. Attached is a picture of the physical form. You can also pick up the physical forms in the HS, MS, and Administration offices.


On Friday at the Stockbridge Invitational the girls only had a few events we competed in but did outstanding in those events. Victoria Strouss had her fastest time ever in the 100 meter hurdles, Natalee Williams had her best toss ever in the Discus that led to an 8th place finish. Skylar Thompson ran her fastest time ever in the 1600. Samantha Saenz started her night out running her fastest time of the season in the 1600 meter run, then as the wind died down she put together a terrific 3200 as she won the event with a new meet record, and a new school record. Breaking the old meet record by 19 seconds and the school record by about 24 seconds. Then went on to be named the meets outstanding Performer. Congratulations on an outstanding night Samantha.
Lead by stellar relay running, the boys track team placed 6th at the Stockbridge invitational on Friday. Competing against Division 2 and 3 schools, the boys placed 6th out of 16 schools. The day started with the 3200 relay team placing third with a Division 4 state leading time of 8:24.0. Bryan Smith, James Silbernagel, Jack Freeman and TJ Kessman made up that relay. Smith, Zeavion Jones, Josh Sharp and Vince Guiliano placed 3rd in the 4x200 relay with a season's best time. The 4x100 relay also ran a season's best time in finishing 5th with a team of Sharp, Guiliano, CJ Glaspie and Lance Knoch. The 4x400 relay capped the night with a Division 4 State leading time of 3:31.03. Jones, Guiliano, Tj Kessman and Bryan Smith's scintillating 50.8 anchor leg placed 2nd overall. The Freshman/Sophomore 4x400 relay placed first with a team of Sharp, Chuck King, Cole Thompson and Freeman. This team wokuld have placed in the varsity division. Scoring individually for the Jackets were: Josh Sharp, 4th in the 100 meter dash; Vince Guiliano, 2nd in the 200 meter dash; TJ Kessman, 3rd in the 800 meter run and Bryce Black, 9th in the Discus. The track teams will run at home on Wednesday against Jonesville. Meet starts at 4:30, come out and support your team
On Thursday the jv baseball jackets won two games in dominating fashion over Hillsdale. 17-5 and 13-0. Tonight we splti with Manchester. Came from a 4 run deficit to win game one 13-12. We dropped game 2 5-2 but the game was called due to darkness in the second.
The Varsity BB/SB games AT Hillsdale today (5/3) are cancelled due to field conditions.

For the first time in years the high school track team was able to host a meet on the school grounds. In Discus Natalee Williams beat all the Springport girls while teammate Hailei Manthei made her discus day debut and beat all but one of the Springport girls. In Shot put Hailei had her best put ever as she finished in third behind one Springport girl and one Bronson girl. In long Jump Alex Butterfield placed 4th, then in high jump she also placed 4th while teammate Gabby Yousif finished 5th. In the 3200 Meter relay the team of Anna Bulko, Bridgette Holton, Samantha Saenz and Skylar Thompson ran away from the competition with a first place finish. In the 100 meter dash Ceirighen Gill made a return from injury as she beat all the girls from Bronson. In the race of the day Samantha narrowly beat out one of the Bronson girls to capture first place in the 400. Skylar and Bridgette ran together in the 800 as they tied for first while Anna finished 4th. In the 160 meter run Samantha took first while teammate Skylar ran a smart race as she finished second. In the 100 hurdles Gabby finished 4th while teammate Victoria Strouss was 5th. Then in the 300 hurdles Victoria finished 4th. Then in the 1600 Meter relay Victoria, Bridgette, Madison Smith, and Natalee teamed up to have a great race as they beat Springport and narrowly loss to Bronson. Great night ladies it was awesome to watch you compete and challenge yourselves. On Friday the track teams will head to Stockbridge.

Brayden Angianga had an all time best throw in winning the shot put. Bryce Black had an all time best in winning the discus. CJ Glaspie had an all time best in the long jump in his victory. The 400 relay team of Josh Sharp, Guiliano, Glaspie and Lance Knoch were victorious as was the 800 relay team of Sharp, Smith, Zeavion Jones, and Guiliano. The 1600 relay won with the team of Jones, Jack Freeman, Matt Record and Smith. The team of Freeman, Record, Luke Holton and Kessman won the 3200 relay. The boys are now 3 and 1 on the season and run at Stockbridge on Friday
Concord JV baseball dropped a couple games to Bronson. Game 1 8-2 And game 2 16-3
Tonight the Varsity softball team took on Leslie and pulled away with two wins. On the mound for the Yellowjackets was CarolAnn Brigham with an outstanding performance.
Game one was an 18-5 game. The team tallied 15 hits. Multiple hits were produced by Billie Weeks, Carrie Beilfuss, and Camryn Ward. Weeks collected a total of 4 hits with the first one starting in a 0-1 count and ending over the fence. Beilfuss added another double to her season and also added 4 hits total.
Concord defeated Leslie 21-6, despite allowing five runs in the third inning. The team came out swinging in the second inning as we scored 9 runs with Bailey Austin, Madison Reiniche, Makenize Collier, Brigham, and weeks driving in the runs. The Yellowjackets racked up a total of 11 hits. Collier, Weeks, Reiniche, and Ward each had multiple hits. Weeks added her sixth homerun of the season. Ward hit a triple, and Khole Rothenberger had a double.
The team will face Bronson tomorrow at Home with a 4:15 start. Come support these young ladies.
Concord JV baseball won two games against Leslie. Mercied them in game one 15-0. Win in game two 7-5. Great job guys.
The JV softball team lost both games Monday night to Napoleon. Game 1 score was 4-21, Rilee Neely struck out 4 batters and Rachelle Compeau was 2 for 2 at the plate. Game 2 score was 2-12.
On Friday at the Union City Invitational the ladies placed 7th out of 11 schools. Congratulations to Samantha Saenz who was named the meets Outstanding Performer! Samantha placed first in both the 1600 and the 3200 meter runs. She also teamed up with Bridgette Holton, Skylar Thompson, and Anna Bulko to finish second in the 3200 meter relay. Then she joined Bridgette, Anna and Natalee Williams to finish third in the 1600 Meter Relay. Skylar finished 5th in the 1600 meter run with a new career personnel best time, then had an outstanding race in the 3200 where she not only ran her fastest time ever she placed second. Gabby Yousif had her fastest time ever in the 100 meter hurdles, In Shot Put Hailie Manthei placed 8th and in High Jump Alex Butterfield finished in 7th with a new season best jump. On Wednesday we will be competing here on our new track against Springport and Bronson. Field events begin at 4:30PM.
