
The 7th grade volleyball team battled all the way to the 5th game, but fell short against Springport 11-25, 10-25, 25-17, 25-21, 13-15. Faith Moore served 7 aces, Maddi Biszalik had 5 aces, and Danaca Jordan added 3 aces. Great job, ladies!

On Saturday the Cross Country Teams traveled to Ella Sharp Park in Jackson for the County Meet. Congratulations to Samantha Saenz as she earned All County Honors and was County Champion for the third straight season. Congratulations to Skylar Thompson, Tj Kessman and James Silbernagel as they all earned All County Honors. Congratulations to Sebastian Gamet, Anna Bulko and Haylie Kowalski as they all ran their fastest times of the season. Allison Zigray also had a great meet as she ran her second fastest time ever. On Tuesday the teams travel to Victory Park for the final Jamboree meet of the Big 8 season. High school girls run at 5:00 PM.

The JV volleyball team beat Lumen Christi Thursday night 25-15, 25-14. They lost to Lenawee Christian 14-25, 24-26. The lady jackets have their final conference/last game Tuesday at Union City.

The girls golf team finished 2nd in the regional Thursday, and in so doing earned a trip to the MHSAA finals at Forest Acres next week.

Last Night the Cross Country teams traveled to Reading for the third Big 8 Jamboree of the season. The girls team of Samantha Saenz, Skylar Thompson, Anna Bulko, Natalee Williams, Allison Zigray, Haylie Kowlaski, Hailei Manthei, Halie Cesco, Jashante Edmonds, and Alaysia Guiterrez tied for second then lost the tie breaker to finish in third place. Samantha finished in third place to earn Big 8 Conference MVP honors, while Skylar finished in third place to earn Big 8 All Conference Honors, Natalee was 13th, Allison had a fantastic face as she finished 22nd 7 places higher then her previous best Jamboree finish, While Kowalski finished in 46, running with her was Anna in 47th, Cesco was 50th, and Manthei finished in 51st.

In the guys race the team of TJ Kessman, James Silbernagel, Bryan Smith, Matt Record, Luke Holton, Cole Thompson, Austin Barrett, Logan Barrett, Cody Hellard, Sebastian Gamet, Chuckie King, Gavin Adams, Devin Easterwood, and Josh Sharp teamed up to also finish in third place. Tj finished in 4th, James in 5th, Bryan 15th, Matt 21st, Luke 25th, Cole 27th, Austin 36th who ran the race of his life as he smashed his career best time by 40 seconds. The JV team once again moved up in the standings as they finished in second place. Great Job Guys
This Saturday we travel to Ella Sharp Park to run against all the Teams in Jackson County. Then Next Tuesday we are at Victory Park in Albion for the final Big 8 Jamboree of the season.

The Concord varsity volleyball team is now 4-2 in the Big 8 conference after defeating Quincy 25-17, 25-21, 25-22. CarolAnn Brigham lead the team in kills with 11, Billie Weeks 10, Bridgette Holton 5, Camryn Ward 4 and Brittian Anderson 3. Sophie Brooks had 24 assists. CarolAnn Brigham had 20 digs, Sophie Brooks 18 and Billie Weeks had 13. Camryn Ward had 8 aces and Brittian Anderson had 4. Great job lady jackets!!

The JV volleyball team defeated Quncy tonight 22-25, 25-22, 25-18. They are 5-1 in the Big 8 conference! Great job ladies!

Due to ineligibilities and injuries, Union City will not be sending a team to Concord on Thursday for JV Football. We are looking for another opponent, but it doesn't look promising.

Concord lady jacket golfers finished 1st in the tri-meet vs Vandercook & Hudson. The girls fired a home course season low of 189, a good primer for Thursday’s home regional.

TJ finished in 8th, James in 15th, Bryan in 46th. Congratulations to Cody who ran his fastest time ever by over a minute.

Leading the way was Samantha Saenz as she finished first with her second fastest time ever, Skylar Thompson finished in 9th and was the fastest freshmen, and Haylie Kowalski finished with her fastest time ever, and Halie Cesco ran her fastest time of the season. This past Saturday the varsity volleyball team had a sucessful day at their home tourament and went 1-1-1 in pool play before playing their best match of the season against class C honorable mention Pewamo Westphalia and defeating them 16-25, 25-23, 17-15. Camryn Ward lead in kills with 30, Billie Weeks 24, CarolAnn Brigham 23. Brittian Anderson had 6 block kills. Sophie Brooks had 86 assists for the day and lead us in digs with 54. CarolAnn Brigham had 53 digs for the day, Billie Weeks 41 and Carrie Beilfuss had 37. Our blocking and defense was fantastic on Saturday! Keep working hard ladies!
