
District Volleyball--Round 1!


Last night the varisty volleyball defeated Vandercook Lake in the first round of districts 25-23, 25-25-16, 25-20. Leading in kills was Camryn Ward and CarolAnn Brigham each with 12, Billie Weeks 8 and Brittian Anderson had 2. Sophie Brooks had 24 assists. The ladies will take on Hanover Horton at home Wednesday night at 7pm!

Concord JV Football team undefeated season! 9-0!


The Concord and Vandercook Lake Volleyball teams are about to start in the Class C District match at Concord.

On Saturday the Cross Country Teams competed in the state Regional meet where there were 13 schools all trying to get into the top 3 as those 3 spots earn a trip to next weeks State Finals. The girls ran awesome as a group but failed to reach there goal of getting into the top 3 as they finished a few points out in 4th place. Yet the girls have no reason to be down about how they did. Congratulations to Samantha Saenz and Skylar Thompson who both earned All Regional Honors which also earns them a chance to run individually in the State Finals. Other highlights include Congratulations to Allison Zigray who ran her fastest time ever. Congratulations to Anna Bulko, and Halie Cesco who both ran their fastest times of the season. Congratulations to Natalee Williams, and Haylie Kowlaski who both ran their second fastest time of the season. Congratulations to Samantha as she earned the title Regional Champion.
The guys also came up just short of there goal to qualify for the State Finals as they also finished just a few points behind third place in fourth. Congratulations to TJ Kessman who earned All Regional Honors and a trip to the State Finals individually. Congratulations to Cole Thompson who had an outstanding race as he ran his fastest time ever. Congratulations to Bryan Smith and Luke Holton who both ran their second fastest time ever. On Saturday we will be traveling to Michigan International Speedway where Samantha, Skylar, and TJ will be all running after All-State Honors. The girls will be running at 9;30 am while the guys will be running at 10:50 am.

The 7th grade volleyball team finished their season on Saturday at the Big 8 tournament in Quincy. In pool play, they split with Homer and Union City and were defeated by Springport. They were then defeated by Springport again in the quarterfinals. Faith Moore led the team in aces with 7, Danaca Jordan had 5 aces, Layla Hellard added 3 aces, and Alyssa Gibson had 2 aces. So many improvements were made this season and we can't wait to see the successes this group has in the future! Great season, girls!

The varsity volleyball team defeated Lenawee Christian on Thursday 19-25, 25-21, 25-20. They lost to Onsted 18-25, 9-25 and lost to Jonesville 13-25, 17-25. Leadig in kills was Billie Weeks with 21, Camryn Ward 17, CarolAnn Brigham 9 and Bridgette Holton 9. Sophie Brooks had 50 assists. The ladies will host Vandercook Lake Monday night for the first round of districts at 7pm. Come cheer on the lady jackets!

Good luck to the Boys & Girls XC teams tomorrow at Regionals (Ella Sharp Park). Girls run at 12:00 and Boys run at 12:40.

The 7th grade volleyball team was defeated by Union City 21-25, 23-25, 12-25, 25-20, 12-15. Despite the loss, a lot of improvements were made. Faith Moore led the team in aces with 10, Autumn Cornell and Danaca Jordan each had 4 aces, Maddi Biszalik had 3 aces, and Sam Kessman and Brooke Linabury each had 1 ace. Great job, ladies!

Lady Jackets golf team capped a great season with a 406 day two score at the MHSAA State Finals The team finished the season as the 16th best team in D4.


Girls golf team shot 416 today in the MHSAA Finals. Good Luke tomorrow.

Last Tuesdays the middle school cross country team competed at Victory Park for their final jamboree meet.
The middle school girls team brought home the first place trophy with a score of 30 points while the boys finished in 5th place with only 4 runners.
The girls team was lead by Shianne Alejandro who finished 3rd out of 62 runners in the field. Shianne was followed by: Riley Adams in 6th, Haylee Rinehard in 7th, and Savanna Payne in 14th.
On the boys side, the team was led by Jonathan Mikovits who completed his jamboree sweep by finishing in first place. Followed by Jonathan was Hunter Sharum in 16th, Aiden Richardson in 27th, and Tyrek Brown in 31st.
The girls team have a current jamboree winning streak of 3!
The team will end the season this Saturday at Airport High School.

Congrats to the Concord JV Football team on their 34-30 victory over Addison tonight, completing a 9-0 season!

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to Quincy 11-25, 13-25, 12-25, 18-25, 5-15. We have our last conference match on Monday against Union City. Go Jackets!

The boys' cross country team finished tonight's Big 8 Jamboree in third place 2 points out of second. They were led by TJ Kessman who had his highest finish of the Big 8 season as he was second, in 5th was James Silbernagel, in 12th was Bryan Smith, in 24th was Matt Record, in 25th was Like Holton, in 37th was Cole Thompson, in 38th Logan Barrett, in 56th Austin Barrett, in 64th Sebastian Gamet, in 72nd Chuckie King and in 74th Gavin Adams. In the final Big 8 standings the boys finished in third place. Congratulations to TJ and James for earning All Conference Honors. Also congratulations to Sebastian who smashed his previous best time of the season.

Last night the cross country teams traveled to Victory Park in Albion for the final Big 8 Jamboree of the season. The girls team finished in third place with Samantha Saenz finishing in first with a new Jamboree record time. In third place was Skylar Thompson, in 21st was Natalee Williams, in 26th was Allison Zigray, in 30th was Anna Bulko, in 35th Haylie Kowalski, and in 50th Halie Cesco. In the final Big 8 standings the girls team finished in second place. Earning the title Big 8 Individual Champion was Samantha and earning All Conference was Skylar. Congratulations Ladies. Also congratulations to Kowalski who ran her fastest time ever.

The Varsity volleyball team battled it out for their last conference match at Union City and came out on top 27-25, 27-25, 15-25, 25-27, 26-24! The ladies are 3rd going into the conference tournament on Saturday at Bronson. Way to fight tonight ladies!
