The Concord 5th grade ladies basketball team battled at the Western Youth Tourney and secured second place after going 2-1 and losing the point differential tie breaker. 3 points from the trophy! Their improvement this season has been incredible!
Concord Parents - If your child rides bus #6 and they have not been dropped off, please know they are running a total of 20-25 minutes behind (approximately another 10-15 minutes). Unfortunately, the bus was in a minor accident at the fault of another driver. ALL STUDENTS AND THE DRIVER ARE FINE, but we need to have a second bus pick up and drop off the students. We have a second bus on the way while we are waiting for the police to arrive on the scene. We are very thankful everyone is okay and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the situation.
Middle School Cross Country practice will begin on Monday, August 25th. You must have a current physical on file or bring it to practice with you in order to participate. You can still join after Monday if you don’t have one yet. If you are interested in joining the team, please meet Coach Pyle and Coach Jordan by the baseball field right after school. Come dressed to run, and don’t forget your running shoes. If you have any questions, please email Coach Pyle at charlene.pyle@concordschools.net.
Attention Parents: If anyone is interested in helping at sporting events, please let us know. If you commit to some dates, we would be willing to provide a family pass for helping. Concessions, football chain crew, MS-JV football announcer, ticket taking, and working an event at a track meet are some of the options. Last night the Concord Girls' Basketball team advanced to the Division 4 State Semifinals (FINAL 4) by defeating Byron Center Zion Christian 54-26. The Lady Jacket will play Ewen Trout Creek on Thursday, March 20th at 5:30 pm at the Jack Breslin Student Event Center on the campus of MSU!
