Starting in the spring of 2024, the Big 8 Conference will be charging for spring sports. That being said, I highly recommend that families consider purchasing passes. Admission is $5 per person and that can add up quickly. Purchasing a pass would allow admission to all sporting events, other than MHSAA Tournaments, for the entire school year. Passes can be purchased at the ticket table at home sporting events. You can pay with cash, check, and credit card.
The JV volleyball team battled against some tough teams during their first non-conference matches of the season. They were narrowly defeated by Olivet 14-25, 25-23, 14-16. Then, they lost against a very strong Hanover-Horton team 5-25, 10-25. Reagan Mehl was 12/12 serving with 2 aces, Bella Coppernoll and Lilie Vandenburgh each went 10/10 serving with 1 ace, Jordyan Metcalf was 9/10 with 2 aces, Gabby Herzberg was 3/5 with 1 ace, and Jaylin Knoblett also added 1 ace. Evelyn Goldsmith had 16 assists and Lilie Vandenburgh led the team in kills with 4. The girls played tough defense against these fast-paced teams. Jordyan Metcalf had 5 digs, Lilie Vandenburgh and Reagan Mehl each had 4 digs, and Macy Sinden added 3. Avery Arbuckle had 1 block. Lucy Otto, Aryonna Kehl, and Dakota Miller also played well. Despite the losses, the girls started out their season strong with a lot to be proud of!

We have our back-to-school open house on Monday, August 21st. The flyer below is an advertisement for the event. We are rolling out the red carpet for our families to say thank you for supporting the school while also celebrating the students' return.
Date/time of event 8/21/23 5:30-7:30 is the open house and meals and we will have a ribbon cutting on our new playground at 6:30
We believe in designing experiences for our students, so we fundraise or write grants to turn events into celebrating big moments. Returning to school is a big deal, and we want to celebrate our students and their families as we move into a new school year. This year is very exciting for us. Our food service team is outstanding, and they work hard to engage the community and provide incredible food to our students. They will be providing free meals to our families, hosting a free fresh food farmers market, and running a meet the farmer event, so the families will get to meet the farmers that are supporting the event (The Shaded Wagon, Blossom Farms, and Easton Family Farms) The farmers market is funded by the Team Nutrition Grant through MDE. Additionally, we will have our newly expanded preschool program handing out free snow cones. There will be bounce-houses, the students will meet their teachers, AND we will be cutting the ribbon on our brand-new playground and walking path which was funded by the May 2022 Bond.
We hope you will come and join the fun!
