Samantha Saenz capped off her high school CC career with an AAU national championship. Being able to be a small parts of a student/athletes carrer is special. Sami's hard work, determination, work ethic, personality and great family support has set the benchmark for all future runners at CHS and beyond. She holds virtually every distance record at Concord and the Big 8 conference. She is a 4x league and regional champ, multiple time top 5 State finishers and this year's MHSAA state champion. And now a national champion. Cant wait to see what the track season and beyond has in store for this young lady. Thanks Sami

On Saturday Samantha Saenz traveled to Shepherd Michigan to run in the Mid East Qualifier meet. She was running against the best senior runners in the state. The top 12 finishers earn the opportunity to represent the State of Michigan in the Mid East championship meet in Ohio this coming Saturday. She ran absolutely amazing as she ran her fastest time ever 17:51.2 and in the process finished second which earns her a spot on Team Michigan. Congratulations Samantha on an awesome race.

Continuation of Concord Cross Crountry. Following the girls race was the boys where Senior TJ Kessman was running. He put it all out on the course as he aimed to earn All State Honors to join his two teammates. He was in position then out of position then back in position as the race progressed as he was in a pack of runners all wanting one of those All State places. In the end he crossed the finish line for the last time with his Concord uniform on and the result was All State Honors. Congratulations you three on an outstanding day. Way to represent Concord!

Hello Concord Community and followers of Concord Athletics. Some very exciting things happened yesterday at the Cross Country State Finals. Senior Samantha Saenz took off like a flash when the gun went off and she moved right up to the front and from there she went on to run confident and determined. The result was her fourth straight season of earning All State Honors and first Overall Cross Country State Championship. That accomplishment was amazing but that wasn't the only news from Saturday as her freshmen teammate Skylar Thompson put in the race of her life as she ran her fastest time ever. The result was a 14th place finish and the second fastest freshmen time in school history. This also earned her All-State Honors.
