The JV softball team split their double header with Hanover-Horton. Game 1 they lost 7-14. Amber Korman was 2-3 from the plate with a single and a triple. Alyssa Allen and Emma Marshall added 2 base hits a piece.
Game 2 they were on fire at the plate and won their first game of the season 14-4. Amber Korman was 3-4 with 2 singles and a double while Rachelle Compeau was also 3-4 with 2 singles and a triple. Emma Marshall, Rilee Neely, Ashley Booth and Haylee Sierminski all contributed 2 singles each. Great job ladies!!!
On Saturday the girls track team placed 5th out of 13 schools at the Pittsford Invitational. Samantha Saenz led the way with a first place finish in the 1600 meter run that established a new meet record. She also won the 800. She also joined Bridgette Holton, Natalee Williams and Skylar Thompson on the 3200 Meter relay team that finished second. That same group of ladies teamed up again in the 1600 meter relay where they placed 5th. Bridgette ran a season best 400 as she placed fourth. Natalee also competed in the discus where she placed 9th. Along with the two relays Skylar also placed 4th with her season best time in the 1600 meter run. Victoria Strouss had a great 100 meter hurdle race as she ran her best time of the season. Then she teamed up with Gabrela Yousif, Sarah Strouss and Alex Butterfield in the 400 meter relay. Gabrela and Alex also competed together in the high jump where they tied for 14th place. Alex also ran a season best 200 meter dash where she finished 11th. On Wednesday we will be traveling to Reading to compete against the Rangers and the Quincy Orioles.

Concord Boys Track won the Pittsford Invite today!!
The Concord School-Linked Health Center will be conducting sports physicals during the school day on Wednesday, May 16th from Noon until 5:00 pm at Concord High School. The cost of the physicals is $30 and parents MUST fill out the physical form ahead of time. Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to Concord School-Linked Health Clinic), or credit card. Attached is a picture of the physical form. You can also pick up the physical forms in the HS, MS, and Administration offices.
JV Softball team had their first games of the season at home vs Michigan Center. Game 1 they lost 8-18. Alyssa Allen, Amber Korman, and Haylee Sierminski were all 2-4 from the plate with 2 base hits a piece.
Game 2 they lost 3-21. Rylee Neely was 2-2 and had 2 RBI’s.

Tonights track meet at Union City is postponed and rescheduled for Monday, May 14th at 4:30.
Due to an issue with Michigan Center's softball field, the JV softball game on Thursday (4/19) vs. MC will be held at Concord HS. The start time is 4:00. The JV baseball game will be held at MC as scheduled.
GAME ADDED: Concord Varsity Baseball will play a DH v. Harbor Springs on Saturday (4/21) starting at noon.

The Concord Varsity Baseball team lost a DH to Homer 8-0 and 14-1.
Friday night the Concord varsity softball team fell short losing both games to Homer. Game one had a final score 5-16. CarolAnn Brigham lead the team with 3 hits. She went 3 for 3 and had 2 triples and 1 RBI. Billie Weeks added 2 hits with a double and 2 RBIs. Bailey Austin had a double. Game two the Yellowjackets produced more runs with the final score being 8-12. Weeks, Khole Rothenberger and Haylie Kowalski added two hits a piece. Kowalski produced 4 RBIs for the Yellowjackets. Camryn Ward added two RBIs as well.
OPENING DAY: Concord Varsity BB/SB will host the Homer Trojans today starting at 3:45 for a Big 8 DH. The JV BB will play at Homer.
Last night the Track and Field teams traveled to Vandercook Lake. The girls team got the season off to a great start with the following highlights. Taking first place was Alex Butterfield in High Jump, Samantha Saenz in the 1600 meter run, Bridgette Holton in the 400 meter dash, Skylar Thompson in the 800 and the 3200 meter runs. The 3200 Meter Relay took first with the team of Natalee Williams, Anna Bulko, Skylar and Samantha, the girls also won the 800 meter relay team with Madison Smith Cerighen Gill, Bridgette and Alex, and the team of Samantha, Natalee, Anna, and Bridgette capped the night off with a victory in the 1600 meter relay.
Other results included a second place finish in discus by Natalee, she also finished second in the 400, Anna finished second in the 800, and Gabriela Yousif finished second in the 300 hurdles. Cerighen finished third in long jump, Victoria Strouss finished third in the 110 meter hurdles, Alex finished third in the 200 meter dash and Sarah Strouss finished third in pole vault. All together it was a wonderful start to the season and we now look forward to our Big 8 Conference season starting next Wednesday at Union City.
The Concord boys golf team scored 194 to finish second at the first Big 8 Jamboree today.
