
The lady Jackets split with the Trojans from East Jackson yesterday. In the opener, CarolAnn Brigham took the win for the jackets allowing three runs on five hits. Brigham collected one hit and scored a run. Billie Weeks hit an inside the park home run and collected two RBIs in the process. Cerighan Gill also hit a triple for the Jackets. Final score was 4-3. The yellowjackets fell 6-16 in the nightcap. Brigham and Weeks were both 2-4 and Ward, Reiniche and Williams also collect hits for the team. The lady Jackets are back in action Friday afternoon with district play.

The Concord Varsity Baseball team defeated Mendon 10-5. The Varsity baseball team will play districts on Friday at Concord at 12:00.

Home BB/SB Today! Concord BB will host Mendon at 4:30 (single game) and Concord SB will host East Jackson at 4:00 (DH).

Tuesday's (5/29) softball game at Concord will be a DH with East Jackson starting at 4:00. It was originally scheduled as a single game.

At our Big 8 Conference meet last night the girls finished in sixth place as a team. Highlights from the meet include the following. In the 100 Meters Sarah Strouss ran her fastest time ever. Natalee Williams ran her fastest 400 of the season. The 3200 Meter Relay team of Bridgette Holton, Anna Bulko, Skylar Thompson, and Samantha Saenz earned the title Big 8 Champions. Samantha Also earned Big 8 titles in the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter run. In the 200 meter dash Ceirighen finished 7th. High Jump Alex Butterfield finished 9th. In the 1600 Meter relay Natalee, Ceirighen, Victoria Strouss and Samantha finished 4th. Victoria finished 12th in the 100 meter hurdles. The 800 meter relay team placed 6th Madison Smith, Victoria, Ceirighen and Alex. In Discus Natalee placed 5th. Congratulations ladies on a great finish to the Big 8 Season

I like to send out a huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers that helped at the Big 8 Conference track meet last night. We could not have pulled it off without you. This includes those that ran field events, worked the finish line, helped in the pressbox, student runners/helpers, concessions workers, and also to our custodial & maintenance staff that had the facility looking great and handed a couple of minor issues. Thanks again!

The boys track team finished second at the Big 8 championships yesterday. The Jackets had 5 league champions and several other great performances. Bryan Smith won the 400 dash. TJ Kessman won the 800 run. The 3200 relay team of Smith, Kessman, James Silbernagel and Jack Freeman ran a season's best time in their championship run. Smith, Zeavion Jones, Vince Giuliano and Kessman won the 1600 relay. Josh Sharp, Jones, Giuliano and Smith ran a season's best time in winning the 800 relay. Giuliani was 2nd in the 200 dash. Bryce Black placed 2nd in the shot and disc. Jack Freeman was third in the 800. James Silbernagel was fifth in the 3200 run. CJ Glaspie was 2nd and Lance Knoch was third in the long jump. Clayton Hinkle was fifth in the high hurdles. The 400 relay team of Giuliano, Sharp, Glaspie and Knoch placed third. The track teams will compete next Tuesday at the Selby meet.

JV softball at Centreville today is cancelled due to weather.

The girls track team finished fourth out of 15 teams at the regional track and field meet. The 1600 Meter relay team of Madison Smith, Natalee Williams, Ceirighen Gill and Bridgette Holton placed 8th. Natalee placed 7th in the discus with her best toss ever. Ceirighen placed 5th in the 100 meter dash and she also placed 5th in the 200 meter dash. Alex Butterfield placed 4th in the High Jump. Bridgette placed 3rd in the 800 meter run. Skylar Thompson placed 3rd in the 3200 meter run with her fastest time ever. The 3200 Meter relay team of Bridgette, Anna Bulko, Skylar and Samantha Saenz combined to earn the title Regional Champions. Samantha had an outstanding day as she also earned Regional Championship honors in the 1600 meter run, 800 meter run and the 3200 meter run. In her final Regional competition she went out as a four event Regional Champion. In two weeks Bridgette, Anna Skylar and Samantha will have the opportunity to go after State titles. The 3200 relay team, Samantha and Skylar in the 3200 and Samantha in the 800 and will be going after her third straight state title in the 1600 meter run. On Wednesday we invite you out to our track for the Big 8 conference Championship.

The boys track team placed third at the MHSAA Regional meet held at Webberville High school on Saturday. 8 boys qualified for the State Meet in 7 different events to pace the Yellowhackets. Vincent Giuliano won the 200 meter dash. Bryan Smith placed second in the 400 dash. TJ Kessman and CJ Glaspie placed 3rd in the 800 run and long jump respectively. Three relays all were victorious. The 3200 relay team of Smith, Kessman, James Silbernagel and Jack Freeman. The 800 relay team of Smith, Giuliano, Josh Sharp and Zeavion Jones. The 1600 relay team of Jones, Kessman, Giuliani and Smith. Other Yellow Jackets to score were; Lance Knoch in the long jump, Bryce Black and Brayden Angianga in the shot put, Clayton Hinkle in the high hurdles, Josh Sharp in the 100 and 200 meter dash, Daylion Kemp in the 400 run, James Silbernagel in the 3200 run. Jack Freeman in the 800 run. The team will compete in the conference meet on Wednesday at home. Good luck Yellow Jackets

Concord Varsity Baseball split a DH with Lenawee Christian. The Jackets lost the first game 4-1, but won the second game 2-1.

JV Softball lost both games to Quincy tonight. 18-0 and 21-6.

Last night the Varsity softball team traveled to Quincy and lost both games. Game one was 11-3 and game two was 13-0.
For the night, Austin collect 2 hits with one being a triple. Weeks had two nights. Ward, Brigham, Reiniche each collected a hit.
