The 8th grade volleyball season came to a close today at the Big 8 Tournament held at Springport High School. The girls played tough, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by Homer after being seeded 5th overall after pool play and defeating Jonesville in the quarterfinals. Emma Burbo had 27 kills, 8 aces, and 7 digs. Marissa Mandrelle had 9 aces, 16 kills, and 3 digs. Bella Coppernoll had 6 aces, 10 kills, and 7 assists. Lilie Vandenburgh had 5 aces, 2 kills, and 17 assists. Macy Sinden had 5 digs and 2 kills. Jaylin Knoblett had 2 aces and 2 kills. Gabby Herzberg had 1 ace and 1 kill. Jasmine Carr played great in the front row and 6th grader, Annie Saenz, came in and played great defense and had 1 dig. Injured player, Jordyan Metcalf, kept great stats and cheered the team on all day. These girls may not have ended their season the way they would have liked, but the improvements they have made and successes they have had this season are a true indication of what this team is capable of in the future! Your coaches are proud of you, girls!!! WE ARE CONCORD VOLLEYBALL!

The 8th grade volleyball team defeated Lenawee Christian 25-20, 25-14. Marissa Mandrelle led the team in aces with 4. Also adding aces were Bella Coppernoll with 3, Jaylin Knoblett and Emma Burbo with 2 each, and Lilie Vandenburgh with 1. Emma Burbo and Marissa Mandrelle also added 3 kills each. Gabby Herzberg and Bella Coppernoll each had 1 kill. Macy Sinden and Emma Burbo each had 1 dig. Lilie Vandenburgh had 4 assists. Jasmine Carr had a couple good contacts in the front row as well. The team travels to Springport on Saturday for the Big 8 tournament. Go, Jackets!

The 8th grade volleyball team lost in 5 to Jonesville (20-25, 25-20, 16-25, 25-23, 10-15). Marissa Mandrelle had 7 aces, Gabby Herzberg had 3 aces, Lilie Vandenburgh, Jaylin Knoblett, and Bella Coppernoll each added 2 aces, and Emma Burbo had 1 ace. Emma led the team in kills with 7. Also adding kills were Marissa with 5, Gabby with 4, Bella with 3, and Lilie with 1. Emma had 5 digs, Marissa had 3 digs, and Macy Sinden had 2 digs. Bella and Lilie had 7 combined assists.

Marissa also led the team in kills with 10. Also adding kills were Emma and Bella with 5, Lilie with 4, and Gabby and Macy Sinden each had 1. Bella Coppernoll led the team in assists with 4. Lilie Vandenburgh and Macy Sinden each had 2 digs. Jasmine Carr played great defense. Awesome job, ladies!

We need your help to keep tomorrow’s football games safe for all of our younger students.
Reminder:
**Students should remain on the home side of the bleachers and limit interaction with students from the opposing team.
**Students should be supervised by parents, guardians, older siblings, or another responsible adult. Students are encouraged to watch the football game.
**Footballs will not be allowed at games. These youth football games are often unsupervised, display poor sportsmanship, and can result in students getting hurt. Footballs will be confiscated and returned after the game.

The 8th grade volleyball team was victorious over Quincy 25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13. It was a nail biter of a match and the Concord girls never gave up! Emma Burbo led the team in aces with 8, Marissa Mandrelle and Bella Coppernoll added 6 aces each, Gabby Herzberg had 3 aces, Lilie Vandenburgh had 2 aces, and Jaylin Knoblett added 1 ace. Emma Burbo was aggressive at the net and had 9 kills and 1 block. Marissa Mandrelle had 8 kills, Bella Coppernoll had 3 kills, Lilie Vandenburgh had 2 kills, and Macy Sinden had 1 kill. Macy also passed well against some tough servers. Bella Coppernoll and Lilie Vandenburgh also had 7 combined assists. Jasmine Carr supported her team the entire match. Great job, girls! Keep working hard!

The 8th grade volleyball team was victorious against Springport, sweeping all 5 sets (25-12, 25-20, 25-14, 25-21, 15-12). Emma Burbo led the team in aces with 15, Bella Coppernoll had 13 aces, Lilie Vandenburgh had 8 aces, Gabby Herzberg had 3 aces, and Jaylin Knoblett added 1 ace. Emma Burbo was swinging hard and had 12 kills. Setters, Bella Coppernoll and Lilie Vandenburgh, had 12 combined assists. Macy Sinden and Marissa Mandrelle played aggressively in the back row. Keep it up, girls!

Jr. Jacket Youth Cheer Clinic will be held on October 20-21 from 3:00-5:00 pm in the Concord High School Mezzanine. The youth girls will cheer at the varsity football game on Friday, October 22nd.

The 8th grade volleyball team brought home another championship trophy, going undefeated at the Marshall Tournament! They finished first in their pool after defeating Northwest, Harper Creek, and Lakeview. They then defeated Northwest again in the quarterfinals (25-7, 25-8) and Harper Creek again in the semi-finals (15-25, 25-11, 15-11). They met Homer in the finals, and won 25-13, 25-15. The team was aggressive on the service line. 7th grader, Bradie Lehman, led the team in aces with 75. Bella Coppernoll added 19 aces, Marissa Mandrelle had 18 aces, Emma Burbo had 14 aces, Lilie Vandenburgh added 9 aces, and Jaylin Knoblett had 1 ace. Emma Burbo led the team in kills with 21, while Marissa Mandrelle added 13. Bradie Lehman had 6 kills, and Bella Coppernoll and Gabby Herzberg each added 2 kills. Macy Sinden played the libero position and played great defense. 6th grader, Annie Saenz, came to help the team out and made some clutch digs. Jasmine Carr also played great. Keep it up, ladies!

The 8th grade volleyball team was defeated by a tough Bronson team (22-25, 20-25, 21-25, 19-25, 7-15). Lilie Vandenburgh led the team in aces with 6. Marissa Mandrelle added 5 aces, and Emma Burbo had 3 aces. Emma played aggressively at the net and had 4 kills. Bella Coppernoll had 2 assists.

The 8th grade volleyball team went undefeated at the Union City Invitational to bring home the Championship trophy! They defeated Quincy (25-24, 25-21), Reading (25-18, 26-24), Union City (25-10, 25-15), and Homer (24-26, 25-14, 15-11). Leading the team in aces was Emma Burbo with 31. Also adding aces was Marissa Mandrelle with 18, Bella Coppernoll with 12, Lilie Vandenburgh with 8, and Jaylin Knoblett with 7. Marissa Mandrelle also added 18 kills and Emma Burbo had 14 kills. Macy Sinden played the libero position and had 8 digs and passed great. Bella Coppernoll led the team in assists with 4. Gabby Herzberg played aggressively at the net and Jasmine Carr came in to play front row. Jordyan Metcalf kept great stats. Awesome job, ladies! Keep improving!

The 8th grade volleyball team played their first matches of the season, beating Homer 25-18, 25-13, 25-12 and losing to Springport 19-25, 25-14, 11-15. Marissa Mandrelle led the team in aces with 23. Emma Burbo had 11 aces, Bella Coopernoll had 6 aces, Lilie Vandenburgh had 5 aces, Jaylin Knoblett had 3 aces, and Gabby Herzberg added 1 ace. Macy Sinden played the libero position and had 3 digs. Jasmine Carr made her volleyball debut and did a great job. Keep working hard, Lady Jackets!!

The JV Volleyball team fought hard and played tough at the Camden-Frontier tournament on Saturday. They finished second in their pool, splitting with Sand Creek (25-17, 23-25), beating Camden-Frontier (25-22, 25-22), and losing to Lenawee Christian (14-25, 12-25). They went on to defeat Hillsdale Academy in the quarterfinals (25-16, 25-22). Then, they were defeated by a tough Blissfield team in the semifinals (13-25, 20-25). Madi Barrett had 16 aces, 22 digs, and 3 kills. Maria Stevens had 12 aces, 8 assists, and 20 kills. Rylee Sinden added 6 aces and 21 digs. Savannah Payne and Hannah Stimer played tough defense, with Stimer having 21 digs and Payne adding 19. Jaylyn Otto had 9 aces and 6 kills. Ella Woolworth added 3 assists. Taylor Cole had 4 kills and 2 assists for the day. Pyper Norris and Lauren Trader passed great and played good defense. Good job, Lady Jackets!
