Hello, CHS Senior Student and Parent(s): This is just a reminder that the Myer and Lois Franklin scholarship is a renewable scholarship (meaning the student can reapply for this each year) and is worth up to $5,000 per application. This scholarship is due February 2nd, BUT they also close it once 200 applications have been submitted. At this time, they have already received 60 applications and it only opened December 1st. In the past I have seen this scholarship close as early as the first of January. If you/your student is hoping to be in the running for this scholarship, I highly recommend they get it done by the end of this weekend. Mrs. Otto will be having our regular Tuesday scholarship workshop tomorrow during Seminar for anyone who wants to work on during that time.

SCOOL CLOSURE 12/5/24
I am happy to report that after a detailed investigation, we have been able to identify the individual that made the threat to one of our students. Mrs. Snyder and Mrs. Otto did an outstanding job working with our families and the sheriff's department. The case has been turned over to the prosecutor, thus, we believe the situation has been successfully resolved. We plan on returning to normal operations tomorrow. If your student had an afterschool or evening event, please watch for messages from the staff regarding whether or not those will occur as scheduled.

Social Media Threat Resolved
All Concord Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. Late last night we were notified that one of our high school students received a violent threat. The police were notified. After reviewing the details that were available, out of an abundance of caution, we feel it is in the best interest of our students and staff to close school today so the administrative team can thoroughly investigate the threat. Please check your email for more information. We will keep you updated throughout the day as we have more information.

Good morning , if you drop off and pick up your children from the Albion Tractor Supply , please make sure that you are parking in the yellow lined parking spaces. It is a safety hazard to have cars pulling up to the buses while we are loading or unloading . Safety is always our #1 priority. Have a great day, Dale Wagner Transportation Director
