
District Volleyball begins tomorrow at Concord HS. Concord will host HH at 5:30 pm. The Reading/Springport match will follow at approximately 7:00 pm. Admission is $6 (new MHSAA guideline).

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team today at Regional Competition they finished in third place out of 15 schools and in doing so qualified for the State Finals next Saturday. The girls also had a great day as they finished in fifth place but were only 11 points out of third. Individually Skylar Thompson qualified for the state finals with her second place finish. State meet is next Saturday Nov. 3rd at MIS.

It wasn't the ending to the season that they wanted, but the 7th grade volleyball team showed a lot of improvement at the Big 8 tournament. They finished last in their pool, and then was eliminated by Homer in the quarterfinals. Maya McCorkle led the team in aces with 5. Zoe Schultz added 4 aces and Tanith Walker, Ella Woolworth, Madi Barrett, and Madi Finch each had 1 ace. Savanna Payne and Rylee Sinden shared the libero position throughout the day and played aggressively. The team was dedicated and didn't give up. They are the future of Concord Volleyball!

The varsity volleyball team finished out their regular season at Onsted for a quad. They lost to a tall and tough Onsted 17-25, 8-25. Next facing 7th ranked in Class D Lenawee Christian 22-25, 11-25. Lastly lost a close match to Jonesville 18-25, 25-20 & 21-25. Leading in kills was Billie Weeks with 18, Bridgette Holton 9, Brittian 6, and Bailey Sinden and Anna Burrow each had 2. Julia Riske had 31 assists. Billie Weeks had 23 digs, Karlee Gamet 17, Bailey Sinden 16, Alex Butterfield 15 and Laina Lasky had 8. The ladies will host districts starting on Monday and will face Hanover Horton at 5:30. 🐝

Cross Country Regional time schedule. Saturday bus leaves Concord at 12:30 PM. Concord boys run at 3:00 PM Concord Girls run at 3:40. Ella Sharp Park. There will be other Divisions running prior to our races, so if you see people running don't panic you did not miss our race. Looking forward to an awesome day. Top 3 teams qualify to run in the State Finals.

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to an undefeated Lenawee Christian team (0-25, 9-25, 12-25). Savanna Payne had 2 digs. Madi Barrett had 2 aces and Maria Stevens had 1 ace.

The 7th grade volleyball team was defeated by Homer (15-25, 7-25, 25-21, 10-25, 3-15). Maria Stevens led the team in aces with 5. Sylvia Kloack and Madi Finch each added 3 aces.

Attention Middle School and High School Wrestlers: There will be a parent/athlete meeting on Thursday, October 25th at 7:00 in the HS cafeteria.


This weekend the lady yellowjackets competed in the MHSAA D4 Girls Golf Finals. The ladies endured some tough weather as they experienced sun, thunderstorms, hail, sleet,40 mph winds, freezing temperatures and rain from every direction. Their toughness and character was displayed as they played a 7 hour round of golf Saturday. The team had a great season and made their school and community proud. Congratulations ladies on finishing as the 17 best team in the state.

The 7th grade volleyball team fought hard against Union City, but came up short (23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 26-24, 20-25). Savanna Payne played the libero position aggressively and made some great plays. Madi Barrett led the team in aces with 13. Maria Stevens also added 6 aces. Ella Woolworth, Madi Finch, and Zoe Schultz each had 2 aces. Improvements are made everyday! Keep it up, ladies!

On Friday, Concord High School will induct former Concord standout and current Michigan Wolverine runner Samantha Saenz into the Concord Athletic Wall of Fame. This will be done at the end of the 1st quarter.


Last night the junior varsity volleyball team played in their last match for the season. The lady jackets came out on top beating Homer 25-20, 25-20 and 25-14. Leading us for the night was Kayla Miller with 7 kills 17 digs and 3 aces! Anna Burrow had 5 kills and 4 digs. Paityn Deforest had 2 kills and 3 aces. Karlee Gamet and Rylee Weeks both had 14 digs and Hadley Kettwich had 18 assists and 11 digs! Way to end the season with a win, ladies!

The varsity volleyball team traveled to Homer to finish out conference play and lost a tough battle 20-25, 14-25, 25-23 & 15-25. Leading in kills was Billie Weeks with 14, Bridgette Holton 5, Brittian Anderson 4 and Bailey Sinden & Georgia Weeks each had 3. Julia Riske had 21 assists. Billie Weeks had 28 digs, Georgia 23, Julia 19 and Alex had 12. The lady jackets will host the Big 8 conference tournament Saturday at 9am.

The 7th grade volleyball team was defeated by Quincy (13-25, 3-25, 18-25, 13-25, 10-15). Despite the loss, they continued to strive for 3-touch plays. Maria Stevens led the team in aces with 3. Zoe Shultz and Tanith Walker each had 2 aces. Maya McCorkle had 2 kills and Madi Barrett had 2 assists. Keep working hard, ladies!

On Saturday the junior varsity volleyball team hosted their home tournament with one goal in mind, to make it to the finals. They did just that by starting the day 6-0 in pool play beating Lansing Waverly 21-13, 21-14 Northwest 21-15, 21- 19 and to wrap up the undefeated morning against Quincy 21-15, 24-22. That put the lady jackets seeding first out of pool play where they faced Hillsdale Academy in the quarter finals winning 25-15, 25-14. Next up was Michigan Center In the semis where the lady jackets took charge beating them 25-23, 25-20. This led them to face the talented Bronson in the finals where the lady jackets took the first game winning 25-20. Bronson won the second game 19-25 and the lady jackets took an exciting game 3 winning 17-15 after being down 8-3 to start the 3rd game. The ladies showed heart and determination all day with a championship in mind and it paid off. Leading the jackets was Georgia Weeks with 63 digs and 30 kills, Anna Burrow had 23 kills, Rylee Weeks had 73 digs and 8 aces. Kayla Miller had 48 digs and 7 kills, Karlee Gamet had 14 kills, 37 digs and 13 aces. Rilee Neely had 12 aces and Hadley Kettwich had 7 kills, 22 digs, 5 aces and 71 assists! The lady jackets have worked very hard this season and it was a very well deserved team championship!

The varsity football team will host Hanover-Horton on Friday, October 19th at 7:00 pm in the Big 8/Cascades crossover game. Go Jackets!

Tonight the Varsity volleyball team hosted 7th ranked in class D Lenawee Christian and fell short 16-25, 14-25 & 19-25. Billie Weeks had a great night at the net with 12 kills, Bridgette Holton 4 and Alex Butterfield 3. Julia Riske has 14 assists. Alex Butterfield lead in digs with 14, Bailey Sinden 12 and Billie Weeks 10. The ladies will travel to Homer Tuesday night to finish out conference play.

Tonight the junior varsity volleyball team hosted a tri vs Lenawee Christian and Western. The ladies fell short to Western 16-25 and 19-25. Then turning around and beating Lenawee Christian 25-20 and 25-18. Leading us for the night was freshmen Karlee Gamet with 7 kills 35 digs and 3 aces. Anna Burrow had 7 kills, Rylee Weeks had 38 digs and Kayla Miller had 4 kills 9 digs and 2 aces. The lady jackets are host a tournament at home on Saturday, October 13th.
