Due to high temperatures inside our classrooms and an expected heat index in the 90s tomorrow, we are going to make Thursday, August 26, a half-day. We will release the students at 11:05. Please stay cool and hydrated!

Just a reminder, Middle School registration is tomorrow from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Thursday the 19th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Bring all required registration forms and students will receive their schedule. Chromebooks will be distributed the first week of school to students. You can come to the main entrance vestibule.

We launched the 21-22 school year today with PD that shattered expectations!!  We had over 40 educators on site today for the School on FIRE Institue of Creativity and Innovation.  The training was provided by @BuddyBerry and his very talented daughter Brooke from @EminenceSchools - The time today was spent taking a 30,000-foot view of what it means to become a School on F.I.R.E. There are a ton of pieces to the Framework for Innovation, but one of them includes Surprise and Delight.  It was incredible to see the joy in our teachers and for them to be able to experience firsthand how weaving a concept of surprise and delight into your classroom completely changes a person's ability to learn!! BEST PD EVER!!! YellowJackets are you ready for surprise and delight this fall?? #ONEHIVE

Attention Middle School Parents and Caregivers: On Wednesday, May 5th Middle School Students will come to school to take the MSTEP (6th/7th graders) or participate in MSTEP + Field Day/Move-Up Day (8th graders). Students will arrive at 7:50 AM by either bus or drop-off; students can be picked up at school at 2:00 PM or the bus will take them home (if bussing has been requested already). If your student has been quarantined related to possible COVID exposure, a make-up day will be scheduled for them at a later date. All Middle School students will be virtual on Thursday, May 6th.

Reminder: We will resume our normal K-12 schedule tomorrow morning. We will have five bus runs tomorrow. Routes will be a little longer in the morning and afternoon. Please check the link below for your morning bus time, and allow for 5-10 minutes of flexibility either way. On Monday, we will resume our regular K-12 schedule. We will still be short a few drivers, so the bus routes are under development. The schedule will be sent out tomorrow. The bus will be more full than normal with longer ride times on Monday, but we are excited to have everyone back!

The routes will be longer with more kids on the bus. While not ideal, we are happy to be able to provide some face-to-face instruction for the ES students on Tuesday and Thursday.
