Hello 6th grade families
Our 6th grade students have the opportunity to go through the alcohol and drug prevention education program called Breakout. Each year in 6th grade we offer this course to educate our students on the dangers and effects of alcohol and drugs. The program will last for roughly two weeks and will be taught during their science block starting next Monday, October 4. The curriculum aligns with the Michigan Model for Comprehensive Health Education. All 6th grade students are expected to participate. If you wish to opt your child out of this program, please email Mr. Arbuckle at mike.arbuckle@concordschools.net.

Just a reminder, Middle School registration is tomorrow from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Thursday the 19th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Bring all required registration forms and students will receive their schedule. Chromebooks will be distributed the first week of school to students. You can come to the main entrance vestibule.

We launched the 21-22 school year today with PD that shattered expectations!! We had over 40 educators on site today for the School on FIRE Institue of Creativity and Innovation. The training was provided by @BuddyBerry and his very talented daughter Brooke from @EminenceSchools - The time today was spent taking a 30,000-foot view of what it means to become a School on F.I.R.E. There are a ton of pieces to the Framework for Innovation, but one of them includes Surprise and Delight. It was incredible to see the joy in our teachers and for them to be able to experience firsthand how weaving a concept of surprise and delight into your classroom completely changes a person's ability to learn!! BEST PD EVER!!! YellowJackets are you ready for surprise and delight this fall??
