This fall the Concord Elementary School will launch Lexia Learning's Core 5 Reading Program. The reading program is an online acceleration program that is computer adaptive. This feature allows reading instruction to be personalized to each individual student in an engaging, game-like format.
Other features of the program include:
- Reading instruction in each of the six core reading areas
- Targeted gap instruction
- Progress monitoring
- Data and resources are provided to the teacher to meet specific student needs
- Accessible via iPad, Chromebook, browser, or download
Teachers will be provided training on the program in late August. More information on the program will be sent home to the parents in the coming weeks.
