Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
We appreciate all of your support and understanding as we work through this very fluid situation. All communication about student trips, events, practices, and district available resources - including food service- will be sent from the superintendent’s office. The K-8 office will be sending information out about how to continue your child’s learning while we are on break.
All teachers sent home and explained resources, notes and/or packets on how to continue student learning during the break. To help promote participation in learning during the break, both the middle and elementary school have a Work from Home Challenge. The challenge is full of activities the students may complete throughout the course of the next two weeks. Paper copies were sent with the students today. I have attached both challenge sheets for your reference. The sheets contain a complete set of directions for the challenge. If you have any questions on the challenge, please email myself or Mike Arbuckle.
We will continue with March is Reading Month and One School One Book activities according to the calendar. The most important thing you can do while we are out is read with your child. Mr. Arbuckle and I will be posting videos of a variety of books being read aloud on our website daily, so please check the live feed for that information.
Further, all K-8 students can continue practicing reading skills in CORE 5 (K-5) or PowerUp (6-8) as well as practicing math skills in Imagine Math (3-8). Along with these online learning resources, we will be sending other free online learning resources throughout the course of our time off.
Today was the end of the third quarter. 3-8 grades will be posted as final in PowerSchool by Thursday, March 19th. Report cards will be put in the mail for all K-8 students as long as they have no outstanding fines.
If you have any questions, or need any help please let us know.

Calling all Veterans!
The bands of Concord Middle School and Concord High School will be presenting a performance at the Concord Elementary School gym on November 11th at 8:00 AM to honor our country's veterans. If you have served and are able to attend, we would love to thank and honor you at this event.

Reminder that tonight Concord High School is hosting Mario Nanos. Mario is a family man and entrepreneur in the healthcare field. His son, Yanni, died tragically in 2018 of a heroin overdose that began with his use of opioids. Please, come to Concord High School on October 16th at 6:30 p.m. to learn what Mr. Nanos learned about the signals a parent can miss in a young person who showed no signs of trouble. This is important information that will help us all be more aware and, hopefully, to avoid the loss of one of our students.

The varsity football game will be played at 4:00 pm tomorrow (gates open at 3:00). The Punt, Pass & Kick participants will be recognized at halftime. We will also recognize all military in attendance just after halftime.

Tonight’s football game is postponed until tomorrow at 4:00 PM (tentative). More information to follow.
