Aimee Hawes is new to our staff for the 2017-2018 school year. She recently finished her second year as a middle school science teacher at Battle Creek’s Northwestern Middle School. There she taught both seventh and eighth grade science.
Aimee has many impressive attributes. She has an Elementary Certificate with an Integrated Science Endorsement, and she has worked over the last two years to develop science curriculum for her classes. Northwestern Middle School has a very diverse student population and Aimee’s ability to build relationships and set high expectation for her students have allowed her to be very successful. Aimee is very dedicated and willing to be involved in the community. In Battle Creek, she began an after school gardening club and is delighted to take over the middle school robotics program and be the lead educator for our new FUSE program. She will be a phenomenal addition to the middle school staff.
